The Sea Horse class is taught by Miss Eva.
In the Sea Horse class we work on:
- Using social skills for cooperative play
- Group dramatic play
- Expanding the children's vocabulary
- Speaking and listening to others in large or small groups
- Maintaining focus for an appropriate length of time with self-selected activities
- Gaining independence in basic personal needs
- Using scissors effectively
- Choosing a variety of materials and activities from learning centers
- Utilizing fine motor skills with developmentally appropriate supplies
- Making simple patterns
- Building number recognition
- Identifying letters and some sounds
- Identifying rhyming words and reciting rhymes and songs
- Demonstrating beginning reading skills and dictating stories to be written
