Erin Cabrera

Interim Preschool Director


Miss Erin is the Interim Director of St. Andrew's by-the-Sea Episcopal Preschool. Born and raised in Pacific Beach, Erin has been a dedicated member of the St. Andrew's preschool family since 2007. Throughout her career at St. Andrew's, she has taught children of all ages, including Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten, before serving as Assistant Director and now Interim Director.

Erin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Vanguard University and holds a California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit. She is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn through play, creativity, exploration and meaningful relationships.

Working alongside families, staff and the church community, Erin is committed to providing a high-quality early childhood program that nurtures the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development of every child. She believes that every child deserves to feel a sense of belonging and joy while building the confidence and skills needed for lifelong learning.

Erin is honored to continue the tradition of excellence at St. Andrew's by-the-Sea Preschool and looks forward to welcoming both new and returning families to the preschool community.

Angelica Garcia

Ocean Explorers Classroom Teacher


Miss Gelly started teaching here in 2019. Her journey began in the Ocean Explorer’s class for her first year, then transitioned to the Starfish classroom the following year. She is a San Diego native, and enjoys spending quality time with friends, family, and her wild dog, Bentley. She is thrilled to start this new journey with you and look forward to meeting your family!

Eva Maldonado

Sea Horse Classroom Teacher


Miss Eva is the Sea Horse teacher. Eva grew up in Mexico and moved to San Diego in 1995. She enjoys teaching the children art and music. She has over 15 years of experience teaching preschoolers! Eva has her Associate Teacher Permit in Child Development and has been teaching at St. Andrew's by-the-Sea Preschool since 2012.

Daniela Soriano

Sea Turtle Classroom Teacher


Miss Daniela is the Dolphin teacher. Daniela was born in Mexico, but was raised in Vista and San Diego. She enjoys teaching the children art and literature. Daniela has her Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education from San Diego State University. Daniela believes that children learn and develop best through social interactions so she ensures to provide multiple opportunities for the children to engage with each other and teachers.

Jacqueline Valladares Luna

Dolphins Classroom



Miss Luna is born and raised in San Diego. She has always wanted to work in the field with kids since a young teenager. She would babysit in the summer as well as taking care of her nieces and nephews. After graduating high school and searching for her calling she enrolled into some Early Child development classes at Mesa College and loved everything about it! She is still continuing her education in Early Child development. She loves working with kids and finding ways to create an environment for them to grow in!

Patrece Corpening

Starfish Tiny Tots Classroom Teacher


Patrece is a Pacific Beach local and teaches in our Starfish classroom. She is married and has 3 sons. She enjoys working with the children in the garden and shares her love of animals and nature. Salt and Pepper (turtles) and Cinnabon are here too! She is an animal lover and has 2 dogs at home named Roxy & Choco. She has been teaching and working with children for over 30 years and has an Associate Teacher Permit and has an Associate's degree in Nursing. She brings so much love and adventure to our Tiny Tots!

Michelle Godard

Jellyfish Tiny Tots Classroom Teacher


Miss Michelle is a dedicated and loving teacher who truly enjoys working with young children. She has experience teaching all age groups but has a special place in her heart for the early years and the incredible growth that happens during that time. She is known for her patience, kindness and ability to create a calm, nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported. She loves being part of the St. Andrew’s community and values the relationships she builds with both children and families. She is married and has one son, Remi, who brings so much joy to her life. In addition to her teaching, she speaks fluent French, which she enjoys sharing in fun and meaningful ways with the children. Her classroom is a place filled with warmth, curiosity and care, where every child is encouraged to learn, grow and feel valued.

Martha Barreto

Rover Teacher


Miss Martha helps in our Jellyfish and Starfish classes. Miss Martha was born in Mexico and moved to San Diego in 2003. She grew up with three brothers and has three children of her own who have become successful young adults thanks to her patience, care, and love. She got her Associate Teacher Certificate from Southwestern College specializing in Child Development. She has been working for over six years in this profession. Miss Martha has experience working with children from infants and toddlers to preschool ages. She began working for an agency which would send her to all different kinds of schools allowing her to gain experience in different types of learning environments. She believes it is important to have and create a healthy, peaceful learning environment for the children, and through various activities make learning fun.

Beth Horton

Jellyfish Tiny Tots Teacher


Miss Beth is a dedicated Jellyfish teacher with a strong foundation in early childhood education. Originally from the East Coast, she relocated to San Diego to pursue her passion for teaching. She holds a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from San Diego State University, along with an EC-TEaMH Advanced Certificate and a specialization in Early Childhood Transdisciplinary Education and Mental Health. Beth is deeply committed to fostering meaningful connections with her students, recognizing that strong relationships are at the heart of effective learning. She takes great pride in supporting each child’s social and cognitive development and finds joy in witnessing their growth and confidence flourish throughout the year.
