The Dolphin class is taught by Miss Luna

In the Dolphin class we work on:

• Using social skills for cooperative play
• Group dramatic play
• Expanding the children's vocabulary
• Speaking and listening  to others in large or small groups
• Maintaining focus for an appropriate length of time with self-selected activities
• Gaining independence in basic personal needs
• Using scissors effectively
• Choosing a variety of materials and activities from learning centers
• Utilizing fine motor skills with developmentally appropriate supplies
• Making simple patterns
• Building number recognition
• Identifying letters and some sounds
• Identifying rhyming words and reciting rhymes and  songs
• Demonstrating beginning reading skills and dictating stories to be written
